Summer Solstice and a Full Moon

Hello Everyone,

Wow spring flew by and now it’s the summer Solstice and full moon! It is a time to embrace the light within us as the sun spirals its longest dance. It is an auspicious time to reflect on peak moments in your life.

Hope you find the time to honor this special day of the year.

I had a busy spring as I recently moved my office, created a new website (betseybeaven.com) , and traveled to the National Center for Homeopathy’s 50th anniversary conference in D.C., where I met so many wonderful people from all over the U.S. and other countries.

I acquired many resources as a result of meeting dedicated doctors, lay homeopaths, teachers, authors, all of whom are committed to homeopathy and holistic ways of living, like the Weston A. Price Foundation.

I met lovely women associated with Homeopaths Without Borders who are doing amazing work in Haiti. I think this organization should be in every country as the need is so great. Check out their website to learn more:https://www.hwbna.org/

I also attended the premiere of the new documentary “Introducing Homeopathy”. This film was years in the making and the producers went to many countries. They interviewed homeopaths and many patients who healed from all kind of conditions. They even showed the power of homeopathy to heal plants and animals. It really puts homeopathy on the map! See the trailer and take time to watch the film.

So my take away from attending this exciting conference is that even though homeopathy is facing a backlash in many countries, its growth and evolution is on rise and there is there no turning back. Homeopathy is alive and well!

It’s a good time to touch base and focus on how homeopathy may help you through the summer months.

For many people it is a time to travel and I get frequent inquires on what remedies to take when on the move.

So I can tell you a few that I take wherever I go because through experience I have used them many times.

Most of you are familiar with Arnica as it is the first remedy to take (1M or 10M) for any kind of physical injury. It saved my life after a terrible car accident years ago so I keep it in my glove compartment of my car.

I love to boogie board surf and one summer a rather powerful wave knocked me for a loop. My knee gave way and I hobbled my way back to my chair on the beach. Swelling and pain were evident and so I starting popping the Arnica 10m every 15 mins for few doses. In a short period of time I could see the swelling go down and pain diminish.

Don’t leave the house without it! It can help operations, concussions, tooth extractions, and is our most valuable remedy in an emergency homeopathic kit.

What about bee stings? Jelly fish bites?

Apis mellifica 1m should come to the rescue! I have seen this remedy bring down inflammation and pain within minutes of taking it after stings. Of course it can be used for more serious allergic reactions like anaphylactic shock so it’s good to have it as part of your emergency supply.

Someone called me from Florida one time in a panic because she had been attacked by a Portuguese man -o -war and was swollen all over her body. She was in considerable pain. I told her to get herself to the nearest health food store(fortunately there was one nearby) and start taking Apis mellifica at the highest dose she could find. Bingo the store had a 1m potency! Much to my surprise after one dose and in a matter of minutes, her swelling came down, her pain was reduced, and she called me to say how grateful she was for the information.

Sensitive to poison ivy? Be sure to take Rhus toxidendrum with you if going anywhere near a woods. If you think you came in contact with it..take a dose of 200c right away and you may not even break out with it. If you see some Jewelweed in the area( it usually grows near poison ivy) it is a natural topical plant antidote you can rub on the area affected.

Tick bites, ugh always a nasty feeling. A dose of Ledum 200c a few times that day should make a big difference. I also use organic Neem oil right on the tick bite and if the tick is lodged in the skin it will bloat right up and you can remove it. Then apply the Neem oil right on the same spot. Even if the tick is carrying the Lyme disease, if you do this right away you will reduce the chances of even being infected.. Neem is a natural bug repellent for over 250 insects and will diminish any changes of that tick doing harm.

As another product to have on hand for the summer are healing creams created by a homeopath, Deborah Olenev, who makes effective first aid creams.

Check out this link to her company: https://firstaidcreams.com/ I can’t say enough about these creams and their value. I have a sample pack of about 8 creams that someone bought for me as a gift and I love them.

For those of you asking how to get a hold of Optique eye drops (no longer available in the U.S) I am happy to announced that I acquired some from France and am selling them for $15.00 plus $5.00 shipping. Many of you have inquired about it and I am just now making it available. Just send me an email and I will mail it out to you.

As I mentioned at the beginning of my newsletter, I just launched my new website and I updated it to reflect my own healing philosophy and also offer my services. If you haven't already, Please take a moment and check it out at betseybeaven.com

FYI.. if you are looking to upgrade or create a website, I used Stacy Wilson at https://www.theflylifeagency.com/ and highly recommend her work.

Finally, if you want to see a new documentary on the power of Self healing and Meditation based on scientific studies, you can do so for free from June 21-23.

The film, Source, is based on the ground breaking work of Dr. Joe Dispenza. Go to

SourceTheFilm.org to watch this pioneering work for healing! I love his work and use his meditations all the time.

Blessing for a wonderful summer!
